Rescuing a cat, Animal Rights question?

I think this cat would be far better off with you,than shut in a cage,it's not a natural life for a cat to be kept confined. Your present cat has food, water, a cosy bed, lots of love and attention from you and I'm sure this one would too.The only trouble would be that as this cat would be coming to a strange place and isn't used to being free, he might wander off and get lost,as ideally you need to keep a new cat in the house for a while.
