After the French and Indian War, England left 10,000 troops permanently stationed in the colonies.?

They felt that their rights were violated. The colonists were not used with the British interfering with their lives, and yet here the British troops were stationed all around them. Some felt the troops had no right to be there, and the Colonist became even more angry when the British tried to tax them. They felt the British were very unfair because they demanded tax from the Colonists when the Colonists had no representation in Parliament. It wasn't just the Quatering Act that made them angry - there were many other acts, taxes, and laws.
