Have any of you ever quit the football team?

I'm in summer workouts right now as a freshman and I'm thinking about quiting for basketball. Have any of you ever quit football? What were peoples reactions because If i quit everyone on the team will call me a sissy. What should I do? My hearts not in football but when I told some people im quiting thats on the team they said don't be a pu***y and everyone's gonna make fun of you. What could I do?
