Question about my job?

Ok i'll try to make this quick. I've been working at a law firm for 8 years now as a paralegal clerk. I do some paralegal work, but also do data entry and filing. I only went to college for 2 semesters cause of problems with getting kicked out of my house. i havent had any extra money cause i've been just trying to live and pay rent. I dont really make alot of money, and i need more. I want to ask for a raise, but dont know if i should. Cause im not really in the position to do so, meaning i dont have a college degree.
