My partner both thought we saw a ghost plane?

i live close to the estate were the army barracks used to be. me and my boyfriend heard a wierd plane noise like whistling and a stange plane sound. we both looked out the window. we saw huge plane lighs right next to some trees. it was 4 in the mirning. we both thought a plane was ready to crash land but watching the plane it was behind a tree. we waitied patiently to see what was going to happen but the plane never came out from behind the trees. we then heard this plane land but nothing was seen after that. the noises sounded really strange thow like aplane in trouble has anybody welse heard or seen this
