I'm starting Driver's Training tomorrow...but?

I received my permit in July 2007...however, a few weeks later, I was told not to drive by my cardiologist as we discovered I had a heart defect. That's since been taken care of....since tomorrow is my first Driver's Training lesson (i've been behind the wheel before) will I meet the sixth month deadline? I'm starting college in the fall and I just turned 17 so I need to have my license.
